I had the honor of standing alongside the @CenterAtWestPark and hundreds of passionate supporters to rally for West Park Presbyterian Church—a 135-year-old landmark that’s at risk of being demolished. This isn’t just a building; it’s a cultural and community hub, a sacred space, and a piece of NYC history that we cannot afford to lose.The energy at the rally was powerful. I was joined by some great folks also fighting for this NYC treasure like Matthew Broderick, Laurence Fishburne, Julianna Margulies, Fisher Stevens, Mark Levine, Brad Hoylman-Sigal, Gale Brewer, and so many others who refuse to let Alchemy Properties erase our history. This is a true David vs. Goliath fight, but seeing this level of community support gives me hope that we can win, and you know when we fight we win. The award winning documentary, “How To Poison A Planet” is having its international premiere in New York on Feb 27 at 7:30pm @svatheatre.  With behind-the-scenes access to the largest litigation involving drinking water in American history, @howtopoisonaplanet investigates how the use of a product as seemingly harmless as firefighting foam, has resulted in the contamination of communities all over the world. On January 20, 2025, Native American political prisoner Leonard Peltier was finally granted executive clemency by President Joe Biden in the final hours of his presidency. This act was a direct result of nearly half a century of intergenerational advocacy for Leonard’s freedom. While Leonard will soon be able to return to his homelands and his people to finish out his sentence, he was not granted a full pardon and the fight to clear his name continues.
